Traveling Mallorca by bicycle

Today we propose a different way of touring around the island of Mallorca. Because, who has not envied the bicycle rides we watch in the movies next to the bluish coast?

The island of Mallorca has nothing to envy to those shores in the movies; in fact, many of the films we admire so much were recorded on this island of 3,600 km².

The best bike routes in Mallorca

Once on the island and installed in the room of our Insotel Cala Mandia Resort & Spa, you only need to rent a bicycle. This will be a simple task, since Mallorca is 100% conditioned for tourism.

Once we have the bicycles rented, it’s time to start pedaling, but where do we do go? Very simple, keep reading!

If what you want is to take a stroll around, we recommend that you start pedaling aimlessly and let yourself be carried away by the surroundings. Without realizing it, you will find a beautiful cove, an unknown beach and a chiringuito where you can refresh after such an exciting stroll.

However, if you are one of those who do not like to be carried away, we recommend the following routes:

Sant Llorenç: An interurban circuit of two kilometers that begins in the town of Sant Llorenç, specifically from its station and runs through its urban center. Along this route, we will pass through various points of interest, such as the Parochial Church, an old well that years ago supplied water to the entire town and the house where the illustrious writer Salvador Galmés was born.

Santanyí: This is a route with a bit of unevenness, in which you will find wonderful landscapes such as: Parc Natural de Mondragó, Cala d’Or up to Cala Mondragó, Santuari de Consolació and Cala d’Or towards Calonge.

These are two of our favorite routes in Mallorca. If you want to discover more exciting routes do not miss the next entries of our blog.
